About EurASc & the Event

The European Academy of Sciences (EurASc) is pleased to host its 2025 Annual Symposium & Ceremony at the prestigious CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research — in Geneva. This gathering aims to bring together scholars, researchers, and innovators to reflect on how fundamental science shapes society and its future under the theme:

“Societal Impact of Fundamental Sciences”

Attendees will engage in high-level scientific presentations, interdisciplinary dialogues, recognition of excellence, and visits to CERN’s cutting-edge facilities.

Venue & Logistics

• The event takes place within CERN’s main campus. 

• On 17 December, the venue is the CERN Council Chamber; on 18 December, sessions will be held in the CERN Main Auditorium. 

• CERN is well connected to Geneva’s public transport system. Tram line #18 offers a direct ~20‑minute ride from Geneva’s main railway station to CERN. 

• Participants staying in Geneva will benefit from free public transport passes during their stay.
