At the R&D centre in Jönköping, wherever some of the most cutting-edge sewing and embroidered machinery in the entire world are being developed, there are about 50 skilled engineers.
About the Role:
Do you love using technical content to convey stories? As a member of SVP Worldwide's Technical Information Team, you will be responsible for creating materials for our cutting-edge sewing and manufacturing equipment, apps, and services that are easy to understand, captivating, and easy to use.
To ensure that our users receive accurate and understandable information, you will work directly to engineers, software developers, and product managers to generate content including Owner's Manuals, Quick-Start Guides, in-app help systems, and text strings. Your efforts will have a direct impact on how sewing lovers around the world encounter anything from handwritten manuals to integrated machine texts.
Using resources like our CMS system and Adobe Suite, you will create excellent technical documentation that includes written text, graphics, and even animations. We would be delighted to have you join us if you are prepared to combine creativity with accuracy!
Your Responsibilities:
Provide and manage in-app help systems, Quick-Start Guides, and user manuals for our sewing and craft equipment and apps.
Make sure end users can readily obtain and understand technical knowledge.
Work together with product managers, software engineers, and other interested parties to maintain accurate and current documentation.
To produce excellent technical content, including text and visual aids like animations and graphics, use the Adobe Suite and CMS technologies.
Participate in the creation of integrated support systems for our devices and applications.

Key Skills and Attributes:
The capacity to oversee several projects with meticulous attention to detail. Outstanding communication skills, both in writing and speaking. A can-do, upbeat mindset with a strong desire for cooperation and teamwork. Excellent organisational abilities and a focus on details. Sewing and crafts skills are a huge benefit, but they are not necessary.
Education and Experience:
A bachelor's degree in communication, media, or a similar discipline. Knowledge of the Adobe Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, and others. It helps to have CMS tool experience. Proficient in written and spoken English. Swedish is advantageous.
Work Environment:
You’ll be working from our office in Jönköping, with the flexibility to work remotely part of the time. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
