Job Description:
Projects pertaining to cloud computing are implemented, troubleshooted, and completed by cloud engineers. They design, develop, and oversee cloud-based systems, ensuring that security guidelines are adhered to and data is efficiently stored. They interact with clients, provide cloud support, and create recommendations based on client needs.
Accountability Area:
• Monitoring, evaluating, and maintaining systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems, networks, databases, and web-based security. Conduct regular security assessments and risk analyses.
• Strong familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and cloud provider ecosystems like Amazon AWS.
• Practical knowledge of AWS foundation services related to compute, network, storage, content delivery, administration and security, deployment and management, automation technologies.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
• Robust micro services programming (AWS Lambda, Docker, etc.).
• Extensive experience architecting, designing, and programming applications and ample experience in high level programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Visual Basic.
• Capability architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availability.
• DevOps expertise and working together with our DevOps team to guarantee that build and deployment processes for cloud-based infrastructure, as well as build and test automation platforms such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Docker, Jenkins, etc., integrate security into the process.
• Familiarity using AWS Cloud Services (EC2, DynamoDB, API Gateway, RDS, Lambda, Cloud Front, Cloud Formation, Cloud Watch, Route 53, etc.).
• Understanding of complex enterprise environments and current technology areas like cloud and mobility.
• Collect and report on Cyber Security operational metrics for application and infrastructure engineering teams.
• Serve as a key technical security partner for engineering teams.
• Coordinate with developers, cloud platform engineers, the business, and cloud service providers on security framework design requirements for cloud application services.
• Research Cyber Security trends and emerging technologies, identify our business and technical requirements, perform technical evaluation and support deployment of Cyber Security solutions.
• ISO27001 experience, helping our client protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of their information assets by establishing a framework for identifying and managing information security risks.
Skills:
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant major such as Computer Science or Information Systems.
• 10 - 15+ years of experience in security engineering, design and implementation. Thorough understanding of network defense technologies, TCP/IP networking, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, network security monitoring tools, secure engineering principles, and technical security testing.
• Verified experience working as an information security or network security engineer. expertise in developing and managing security protocols. comprehensive knowledge of security protocols, security principles, and the newest technologies.
