Job Description:
You will be in the lead during the bidding process for complex projects that include IT services, solutions, and design or manufacturing services as a senior proposal engineer with a focus on solutions. Your role involves project management from the initial client interaction through contract finalization, placing a particular emphasis on defining trading terms. In addition to being in charge of approving bids and proposals at the highest levels of authority, you will be crucial in verifying and endorsing technological solutions.
Duties and responsibilities:
Creation of precise, economical, and customized techno-commercial proposals that cater to specific client demands. Attend customer scope meetings, go over customer queries and RFP materials, and note customer requirements and problem descriptions. Provide exceptional technical solutions in compliance with the project requirements, ensuring that proposals balance risk management and mitigation with commercial viability and competitiveness. Responsible for compliance with the bid requirements. Define supply needs for supply chain and procurement to support the opportunities Taking full responsibility for the assigned proposals, from initial contact through contract signing, and working in close relationship with the regional sales team. Ensure a timely response to the inquiries and a quick turn-around for the proposals. Coordinate with contracts and negotiations and internal finance and controls to address the project's contractual needs during the bidding phase, all the way to the final contract closure. Facilitate establishment of agreed-upon Terms of Service with new clients Validation and endorsement of technical solutions Demonstrate the ability to expand the scope of services requested by incorporating the full portfolio of Sensia's process automation offerings. Facilitate the necessary levels of commercial reviews for approvals. Provide regular feedback on activity status to the regional commercial leads and ensure timely data updates in the proposal management system.
The Individual:
Strong knowledge and experience in SCADA, DCS, SIS and industrial networks and communication protocols and standards. A good understanding of the oil and gas facility process is an advantage. Extensive experience in selecting and designing process control systems for diverse O&G facilities. Experience in working with EPCs and end users to define project requirements and design ICSS solutions for both greenfield and brownfield projects. Full understanding of FEL estimates. Gain a thorough understanding of the automation infrastructure's life cycle, expansion, continual improvement, and preventative maintenance. Comprehensive knowledge of various stages of the project lifecycle, such as FEED, tendering, proposal, designing, engineering, procurement, execution, implementation, testing, construction & commissioning Hands-on working experience on both hardware & software design and selection. the ability to design intricate solutions for process automation and process safety thorough understanding of the control loop system philosophy, code of practices, and electrical engineering principles. Strong analytical, management, communication, and organizational skills (FF, Profibus PA, Wireless HART).
