Regarding the position
One of the business-critical services in charge of the last phase of the user purchase journey is developed and maintained by the cross-functional Nord Checkout team. In order to provide a safe, quick, and enjoyable user experience, we scale our services and add new features every day. Additionally, we support the development efforts of other teams by giving them access to consumer purchase data.
Principal Duties
. Create and implement microservices that are incredibly scalable, robust, and secure;
. Write code that is well-maintained, tested, and performs well under load;
. Work together on daily activities with your teammates, the QA, DevOps, and security teams;
. Deliver updates and new features on schedule and with success;
. Write quality documentation and develop technological designs;
. Conduct research and development activities and solve novel and difficult issues that we come across;
. Take responsibility for your work from beginning to end;
. never stop learning and developing professionally;
Essential Conditions:
. extensive proficiency in the PHP language.
. shown ability to create and integrate REST API microservices;
. following sound system design guidelines.
. familiarity with OOP concepts and appropriate code design practices.
. profound understanding of relational databases, ideally MySQL;
. strong familiarity with NoSQL databases, ideally Redis
. knowledge of message queues, ideally RabbitMQ.
. familiarity with source code repositories and Git (ideally GitLab)
