Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight to ensure the efficient functioning of diagnostic laboratories.
• Implement and keep in place strict checks to laboratory activities, oversee quality assurance and safety protocols to ensure the delivery of reliable and accurate results.
• Ensure compliance with all governing bodies regulatory requirements such as Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC).
• Maintain and update laboratory records including test results and patient information, ensure the confidentiality and integrity of patient records.
• Conduct internal audits and monitor corrective actions, periodically review and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reflect industry advancements.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to understand their diagnostic needs, ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in diagnostic technologies, methodologies, and potential partnerships to enhance diagnostic capabilities.
• Develop and manage laboratory budget to ensure efficient resource allocation, identify opportunities for business growth and expansion of lab services.
• Manage team of laboratory professionals, including lab technicians, and support staff.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the lab.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports to the senior management on key metrics and areas for improvement in labs on regular basis.
• Obtain essential international certifications for diagnostic labs.

Requirements:

• Master's or Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Pathology, Laboratory Medicine, Business Administration or other related disciplines
• 10 - 12 years of experience in a leading role in a diagnostic laboratory setting.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, quality assurance, safety standards, regulatory compliance and accreditation processes.
• In-depth understanding of diagnostic technologies and methodologies.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• An innovative mindset with a passion for staying current with advances in diagnostic field.
