Job Description
Purpose and Objectives of role
Mott MacDonald Limited is looking to recruit a dynamic, proactive, and forward thinking, Finance officer
with strong experience in the field of Accounting and Audit. This is a fast paced and demanding position
within the organization. The candidate will work with the Country Finance Manager, Senior Finance
Officer, Team Lead FSC and the various territories within Group.
This is a full-time position based in Islamabad.
As a part of the FSC Pakistan Team, the Finance Officer will be responsible for quality support to the users of
the FSC within the Group in the areas of Financial Analysis and Management, Management Reporting,
Reviews, Internal Audit and Business Control.
Responsibilities of the Finance Officer will include (but not limited to):
- With major focus on balance sheet reconciliations and management accounting packs, providing proactive support to regional teams with month-end routine and periodic analytical processes.
- Extracting live reports from ERP system to prepare accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations for multiple companies across various territories within the group.
- Reconciling general ledger and sub ledger accounts to source data and system to ensure that all transactions have been accurately recorded.
- Reconciling the Inter-company accounts and supporting the local teams in monthly clearance of the balances.
- Analysing assigned ERP reports to identify unusual trends and patterns, flagging potential problem areas.
- Providing support to Project Teams (where required) in analysing project data and working capital analysis.
- Supporting the country and regional finance teams with year-end processes.
- Supporting relevant stakeholders during peak activity periods such as budgeting and board meetings.
- Assisting Country Finance Manager during internal and external audit assignments, organizing financial information, processing audit requests, and providing support to follow up with internal and external stakeholders (where required).
- Providing overseas leave cover for regional finance teams within the group.
- Performing any additional tasks as designated by the FSC Team Leader and the Country Finance Manager – Pakistan.

- Relevant professional qualification in accounting and finance
- Relevant experience in the field of finance, accounting, and audit
- Excellent MS office skills
- Good levels of spoken and written English

- Strong organisational skills and proven track record of meeting deadlines
- Able to plan and prioritise workloads (of self and others) to maximum efficiency and productivity
- Able to review and analyse financial information
- Excellent communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to engage with stakeholders at all levels within a cross-cultural environment
- Motivated to actively engage in own continuous learning and development
- Proactive attitude and able to use initiative to make decisions and take responsibility for actions independently
