Job Description

            Context:

            The Natural Occurring Radioactive Materials Treatment Facility (NORM) is a brand-new 6,5 KTA decontamination facility that includes a high pressure water descaling system, centrifugation, incineration, and stabilization of ashes. The Hazardous Waste Treatment Facility (HWTF or BeAAT) includes TDU, deoiling tricanter, Stabilization, Class I and II landfill, PCT, and Incineration lines with a capacity of approximately 60 KTA.

            While various alignment works, processes, and procedures are continuing tasks being completed to conform with Veolia requirements, two-thirds of the assets were commissioned in 2021.

            Summary of Position:

            Beaat and Norm Plant operations and maintenance are under the purview of the Operation Director. He or she implements and oversees the operation of a secure, environmentally responsible plant that satisfies site objectives and renders client service.

            Under the general manager of Magma, he or she reports.

            Principal Duties:

             - Assist the General Manager in integrating the new business; examine the operation and maintenance structure; execute and/or enhance protocols; oversee and finalize the hiring process for the operational team.

            - Plan, organize, coordinate, and oversee the actions involved in the acceptance, characterisation, and disposal of hazardous waste in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable environmental regulations at all regulatory levels.

            Oversee the creation of master work schedules that take into account the availability of labor, the dates on which trash is delivered, and the capabilities for treatment and disposal.

            - Uphold regulatory policies regarding health and safety, compliance, and other pertinent compliance matters.

            - Create and maintain channels of communication about treatment operations modifications, delays, and/or schedule fulfillment.

            - Oversee and manage the workforce at the facility; allocates projects to staff members and establishes priorities; makes sure that workers are used efficiently to maximize daily and weekly output in order to fulfill operational goals.

            - Create, monitor, and/or enforce operation budgets and controls to ensure that spending stays within previously authorized budgetary constraints.

            - Take part in creating the annual budget for the assets, operations, and maintenance; anticipate the amount of money required for hiring personnel, purchasing supplies, and equipment; keep an eye on and authorize expenditures; and carry out modifications.

            - Actively participate in the execution of all asset upgrade projects (under the direction of the CAPEX Delivery Manager) that are designed in accordance with Veolia standards and agreed upon with the Veolia Business Support Team. Delivering the engineering study, the scope of work, the BOQ, the award and tender paperwork, work supervision, and commissioning are all included.

            - Arrange and/or offer training programs to guarantee a high degree of competence and skill among the monitored staff and to comply with all environmental and company health and safety standards.

            - Boost facility operations and output to maximum potential.

            - Actively participate in the execution of all asset upgrade projects (under the direction of the CAPEX Delivery Manager) that are designed in accordance with Veolia standards and agreed upon with the Veolia Business Support Team. Delivering the engineering study, the scope of work, the BOQ, the award and tender paperwork, work supervision, and commissioning are all included.
