Job Description:
•To join our team, we are seeking a chemist with a current Dubai Health Authority (DHA) licence.
• A solid background in pharmacy and familiarity with the rules and regulations established by the DHA are essential qualities for a candidate.
• In addition to monitoring the safe and efficient use of pharmaceuticals, the chemist will be in charge of administering medication and offering patient counselling.
Responsibilities:
• Correctly and quickly distributing prescription drugs while adhering to all DHA rules and specifications.
• Checking that drug therapy is acceptable by going over prescriptions.
• Giving advice to patients on how to take medications correctly, possible adverse effects, and drug interactions.
• Working together with medical professionals to guarantee the best possible drug therapy and patient care.
• Keeping thorough and accurate patient records that include a history of prescriptions taken and any allergies.
• Keeping an eye on patient results and modifying drug therapy as necessary.
• Ensuring that pharmaceuticals are handled and stored safely while adhering to all DHA regulations.
• Keeping abreast of the most recent advancements in pharmaceutical therapy and pharmacy practice.
• Taking part in programmes for quality improvement to improve medication management and patient safety.
• Answering the queries and concerns of patients with outstanding customer service.
Preferred Candidate:
• A current DHA pharmacy licence or DHA eligibility letter.
• A pharmacy bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Two years at least of experience working as a chemist in a hospital or retail environment.
• Strong familiarity with DHA rules and regulations.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Precision and attention to detail when administering medication. adept in using computer systems and pharmacy software.
• Capacity to cooperate with healthcare professionals and work well as a team.
• A strong commitment to patient safety and ethical standards. proficiency in spoken and written English.
Skills:
• Strong understanding of drugs, how to utilise them, and any possible negative consequences.
• Outstanding knowledge of DHA rules and regulations.
• Proficiency with computer systems and software for pharmacies.
• Capacity to administer medication in an accurate and effective manner.
• Strong counselling abilities to inform patients about possible side effects and how to take their medications.
