 As Director Business Development MICE you will be responsible for the development and implementation of business strategies to maximize revenue in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE) sector within the HR Group portfolio. Close cooperation with the internal, commercial and operational departments, brand partners and external partners is a prerequisite for driving and expanding the MICE business through targeted sales and marketing strategies. 
 

To strengthen our team, we are looking for you from: Jan 1, 2025 as Director Business Development MICE (m/f/d). 
 

As Director Business Development MICE (m/f/d) your tasks will include:
 Development and implementation of sales strategies to promote and expand the MICE business for the HR Group (Senior Business Development Manager, Senior Sales Manager, etc.). 
Analyzing market trends, competitors and new business opportunities to develop new revenue streams. 
Identifying and approaching potential new customers, particularly in the area of event agencies, associations and institutions as well as seminar providers Promotion of cross-selling.
 Building and maintaining long-term relationships with MICE customers and key decision-makers within the industry.
 Support in the development of an improved MICE customer journey (awareness/lead generation as well as offer preparation and conversion (contract conclusion). 
Representing the HR Group at events, trade fairs and other planned sales activities. 
Creation and management of budgets for MICE sales. 
 

Setting and monitoring KPIs to measure the success of the MICE sales strategy. Regular reporting of sales figures, revenue forecasts and market analysis to senior management. 
Working closely with internal departments such as Group Desk, Operations, Marketing and Revenue Management to ensure smooth processes\communication. 
Leading and developing a MICE sales team, national/Europe.
 Support the marketing team in the development of targeted MICE marketing campaigns and promotions. 
Close communication and cooperation with brand owners/partners as well as knowledge of preferred partnerships and their MICE strategies, ensures communication / referral management internally. 
Responsible, competent behaviour towards all internal and external stakeholders as well as customers, partners and suppliers of the HR Group. Participation in internal events and meetings as well as sharing own ideas / idea provider and collegial advisor, also beyond own area. 
Identifying new trends and technologies in the MICE sector in order to position the HR Group as a leading provider of MICE services.
 Promoting sustainable and innovative event solutions to meet changing customer needs and industry standards. 
 

Your profile with which you inspire us: 
Completed studies in the hotel / tourism sector or many years of experience in a comparable position.
 Market knowledge and customer contacts in the MICE segment.
 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. 
Convincing appearance and very good negotiating skills.
 Ability to coordinate/manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
Fluency in German and English (written and spoken / business fluent). 
Ideally already experience as Director Business Development MICE (m/f/d).
