The Master Data Management Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity of master data within the organization's databases and systems. He/She will collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and consistent data entry, perform data analysis to identify trends and discrepancies, and implement data quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
•• Create, update, and maintain master data records in accordance with established guidelines and procedures. • Create and maintain item masters within the ERP system including coding and classification. • Enter and maintain pricing within the ERP system. • Creation and maintenance of vendor and customer records. • Conduct regular audits of master data to identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, and duplications. • Develop and implement data quality standards, processes, and best practices to improve data accuracy and completeness. • Participate in data migration and integration projects, ensuring smooth transition and accuracy of data transferred. • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to master data management.
•Examine database reports to determine which objects should be retired or become outdated.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles and item-level MRP input maintenance.
• Assistance for the teams in charge of sales, operations, and procurement to guarantee that the parts in an ERP system operate properly.
Conditions
• A bachelor's degree in information systems, business administration, or a similar discipline.
• At least five years' experience in master data management or similar positions.
• Experience with process optimization and initiatives to increase data quality.
• Expertise in data management systems and tools, such as Sage, SAP, and Oracle.
• Excellent analytical abilities with the capacity to decipher intricate data sets and pinpoint insights.
• Outstanding precision and attention to detail in the analysis and input of data.
