Job Description:
As a senior proposal engineer with an emphasis on solutions, you will take the lead in the bidding process for complicated projects that involve IT services, solutions, and design or manufacturing services. From the first customer contact to the contract's completion, you will be responsible for project management, with a focus on specifying trade conditions. Apart from overseeing the highest levels of authority to approve bids and proposals, you will play a critical role in confirming and approving technology solutions.
Duties and responsibilities:
Creating precise, economical, and customized techno-commercial products that cater to specific client demands. Take notes on client requirements and issue descriptions, participate in client scope meetings, and evaluate client questions and RFP papers. Provide exceptional technology solutions that satisfy the project requirements, taking care to ensure that proposals combine competitiveness and economic viability with risk reduction and management. responsible for following the terms of the offer. Determine the supply needs for the supply chain and procurement in order to support the opportunities. working directly with the local sales team and taking full responsibility for the ideas provided, from the initial conversation to the contract's signature. Ensure that the proposals are handled swiftly and that the queries are answered in a timely manner. During the bidding process and up to the final contract closing, coordinate with contracts, negotiations, internal finance, and controls to satisfy the project's contractual demands. Encourage the creation of mutually agreed-upon terms of service with new customers. Verification and approval of technological solutions. Show that you can include the whole range of Sensia's process automation products to broaden the breadth of services that are required. Assist in facilitating the appropriate commercial review levels for authorization. Assure prompt data updates in the proposal management system and give the regional commercial leaders regular input on the status of the activities.
The Individual:
Excellent knowledge and expertise with SCADA, DCS, SIS, and industrial networks, as well as communication protocols and standards. A thorough grasp of the oil and gas facility processes is advantageous. Extensive expertise choosing and designing process control systems for a variety of oil and gas operations. Worked with EPCs and end users to develop project needs and create ICSS solutions for greenfield and brownfield projects. A complete grasp of FEL estimations. Learn about the life cycle of the automation infrastructure, including growth, continuous improvement, and preventative maintenance. Comprehensive understanding of various stages of the project lifecycle, such as FEED, tendering, proposal, design, engineering, procurement, execution, implementation, testing, construction, and commissioning. Practical experience in hardware and software design and selection. The capacity to create complex solutions for process automation and safety requires a deep grasp of the control loop system philosophy, code of practice, and electrical engineering concepts. Excellent analytical, managerial, communication, and organizational abilities (FF, Profibus PA, Wireless HART).
