Summary
The HR Operations Specialist will ensure smooth end-end new employee onboarding and off-boarding, execute policies and processes, systems maintenance, and support internal customers. This position will identify, develop, implement, and evaluate key HR systems and process initiatives across multiple platforms. The incumbent builds an excellent HR Operations function with HR products that support and align with the global HR strategy and Elixir’s corporate goals. It is a highly collaborative position that partners with other HR team members, including HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and the Global HR office. The HR Operations Specialist will provide a supportive and engaging environment for operational excellence with easy-to-navigate processes and easy-to-find information and has a shared sense of urgency with employees and other stakeholders who look to HR Operations for assistance in resolving issues.
Essential Functions
The essential functions include:
- Oversee day-to-day Human Resources Operations activities for Pakistan employees, including processes, policies drafting, employee lifecycle, records, HR services, and new hire orientation sessions etc.
- Build an excellent new employee experience by being creative and thorough, throughout the onboarding process.
- Support in development and implementation of “glocal” HR policies that align with the global HR strategy and Elixir Values and support local standards; interpret and provide advice on HR policies to internal HR team, employees and business unit leaders.
- Find innovative ways to automate HR processes e.g., employee documentation and records to ensure they are up-to-date and easily accessible as and when required by pertinent stakeholders.
- Audit employment policies and procedures and make recommendations to improve them to ensure compliance and support business goals and strategies.
- Support HRBPs by resolving complex employee relations issues, including providing support during conflict resolution and investigations.
- Implement and maintain HR systems, including HCM, leave management, payroll, record keeping, organizational structures etc.
- Be a custodian of and maintain real time employee data and share reports with relevant stakeholders, as and when required.
- Maintain current knowledge of HR trends and in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring compliance; make recommendations for new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Answer requests for information on policy interpretation
- Collaborate closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
- Recommend, evaluate, and participate in staff development.
- Extend expertise and support in cross-functional HR project teams as necessary based on needs and new initiatives.
- Execute and continuously improve HR processes from end to end, while maintaining engagement, confidentiality, and a ‘can-do’ attitude towards organizational goals.
- Prepare all employment related letters and ensure timely execution of ex-employee verification.

- Security Designate responsibilities include Security Designates serve as the primary security contact for their assigned business unit. They are responsible for processing reports of security incidents, data breaches, and policy violations submitted by direct reports within the business unit and for notifying the acting Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of reported incidents, breaches, and violations. Security Designates also coordinate with the Human Resources Department and CISO to impose sanctions on direct reports who violate Elixir’s Security and Compliance policies or applicable legal requirements (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA, etc.). Security Designates monitor fulfillment of sanctions and notify the CISO when the terms of sanctions have been fulfilled. Additional responsibilities include processing complaints related to Elixir’s security and privacy program at the department level; submitting exception requests related to Elixir’s Security and Compliance policies to the CISO; and cooperating with investigations of security incidents, data breaches, and security and privacy violations. In carrying out responsibilities related to Elixir’s Security and Compliance program, Security Designates will utilize the appropriate forms available on the Security and Compliance site on SharePoint.

Required education and experience
- A minimum bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in HR Operations role, or HR Management role with broad knowledge of HR Operations, Processes, and Systems
- Hands-on experience with HR systems and tools, including but not limited to, Microsoft O365, SharePoint, and core HR policies and compliance.
- Demonstrable experience in identifying operational challenges, needs and performance gaps and their causes.
- Experience developing and implementing equitable and fair company policies.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including organizational diagnosis, onboarding, terminations, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and respective employment laws.
- Experience applying labor laws to written HR policies.
Preferred education and experience
- Experience of working in various domains of HR as HR Generalist.
- Hands on experience of working with multiple HR systems.
- Master’s degree in human resources, Business Management, or the relevant field
