Job Purpose:
- Responsible for shaping and executing Zong's communication strategy
- Develop and implement effective communication plans, maintain positive relationships with media outlets, and help create engaging content that showcases our brand
Job Responsibilities:
- Media Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and national media outlets, telecom industry journalists, and influencers. Proactively pitch and secure positive media coverage for Zong 4G's products, services, and corporate initiatives. Coordinate and manage media inquiries, interviews, and press briefings. Monitor media landscape for relevant industry trends, news, and competitor activities.
- Content Creation: Create and edit compelling and informative content for press releases, articles, blog posts, and whitepapers. Craft engaging social media content, including posts, tweets, and updates, to increase brand visibility and engage with customers. Ensure all content aligns with Zong 4G's brand messaging and follows industry best practices. Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate PR strategies into marketing campaigns.
- PR Agency Management: Oversee relationships and contracts with external PR agencies, ensuring they align with Zong 4G's goals and expectations. Collaborate with PR agencies to develop and execute strategic PR campaigns and initiatives. Monitor the performance of PR agencies, provide feedback, and evaluate the effectiveness of their work. Manage budgets and resources allocated to PR agency partnerships.
- Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing PR events, such as product launches, press conferences, and community engagement initiatives. Coordinate logistics, secure venues, manage invitations, and ensure smooth event operations. Handle media attendance, press kits, and post-event follow-ups to maximize media coverage and impact.
- Crisis Management: Coordinate with internal stakeholders to create and update the crisis communications company handbook Be prepared to provide support during crisis situations, including drafting statements, managing media inquiries, and maintaining the company's reputation.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor media coverage using analytical tools. Provide regular reports and insights to assess the effectiveness of PR campaigns and make data-driven improvements. Develop KPIs and benchmarks to measure the success of PR and communication efforts.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal departments to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with corporate goals. Engage with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, government agencies, and industry associations. Identify opportunities for partnerships, collaborations, and sponsorships that enhance Zong 4G's reputation and reach.
- Market Research: Stay informed about the telecom industry in Pakistan, including regulatory changes, market trends, and emerging technologies. Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats, adapting PR strategies accordingly.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the PR and communications budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and allocation of resources to meet strategic goals. Track expenses, prepare financial reports, and make recommendations for budget adjustments as needed.
Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills):
Education:
- Must have Bachelor's degree preferably in Communications, Media, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
Work Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience
