In Rawalpindi, Pakistan, NJ Physio is looking for a kind and driven dietitian to join our interdisciplinary team. To guarantee the best possible results for our patients, the ideal candidate will be in charge of developing individualised dietary programs, offering knowledgeable nutritional guidance, and working in tandem with our physiotherapists and other medical specialists. By assisting patients in reaching their fitness and health objectives through appropriate diet, you will play a significant part in their general wellness and rehabilitation process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Consultation:
Examine a patient's medical history, present health issues, and lifestyle choices to determine their nutritional needs.
• Nutritional Assessments:
Perform thorough nutritional evaluations and offer individualised dietary advice based on each patient's circumstances, including those recuperating from chronic illnesses, injuries, or surgery.
• Dietary Planning:
Create customised meal plans for patients based on their unique health objectives, accounting for age, weight, degree of activity, and underlying medical illnesses like diabetes, heart disease, and metabolic disorders.
• Cooperation with Physiotherapists:
Coordinate dietary plans that support rehabilitation and speed up recovery in close coordination with physiotherapists along with various medical professionals.
• Educational Support:
During physiotherapy sessions, inform patients about the importance of diet in upholding a healthy lifestyle, treating medical issues, and enhancing performance.
• Monitoring Progress:
To guarantee long-term success, monitor patients' progress, make any required food plan adjustments, and offer continuing assistance.
• Nutritional Counselling:
Provide one-on-one guidance to those with particular nutritional issues, like managing weight, food allergies, or dietary intolerances.
• Remain Current:
To deliver the best possible treatment, stay up to date on the most recent dietary trends, research, and laws.
• Group Education:
Occasionally conduct seminars or workshops for groups on subjects including meal planning, sports nutrition, and healthy eating.
• Record Keeping:
In accordance with state laws and clinic procedures, keep accurate and current patient records.
• Professional Development:
To stay up to date on advancements in nutrition research, take part in conferences, workshops, and training.
Required Qualifications:
• Education:
A bachelor's degree from an approved university in nutrition, dietetics, or a similar discipline. It helps to have a master's degree.
• Licensing:
Certification as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) from an accredited organisation in Pakistan, or an equivalent.
• Experience:
At least one to two years of clinical or outpatient experience, ideally in a rehabilitation or physiotherapy setting.
• Knowledge:
Excellent comprehension of metabolic diseases, clinical nutrition, and the role of diet in managing and preventing disease.
• Capabilities:
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the capacity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Patient-centered and compassionate care:
a sincere desire to assist people and a dedication to patient happiness.
• Organisational Skills:
Excellent time management, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to efficiently oversee several patients and tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous work experience working in a rehabilitation or physiotherapy clinic.
• Expertise in geriatric nutrition, weight control, or sports nutrition.
• Knowledge of virtual consultations or telehealth.
• English and Urdu fluency are preferred. Speaking different languages well is advantageous.
Physical requirements include the capacity to stand for extended periods of time and sit for considerable periods of time.
• The capacity for clear communication with personnel and patients.
• The capacity to move and lift up to 25 pounds when doing administrative duties, such as transporting supplies for conferences or events.
