About the Role:
MSL is responsible for driving end-to-end customer engagement in the medical space, focusing on pre- and near-approval products to shape treatment paradigms and provide in-depth & patient-centric scientific exchange, education and collaboration across the entire patient journey. The goal is to be the partner of choice through deep medical expertise and collaboration. The knowledge gained through in-depth professional discussions at eye level with medical experts will be shared internally in a targeted manner. These insights are an essential building block for adapting medical and business strategies to the needs of science and enabling the best possible outcome for patients. The external medical engagement of core medical experts and other stakeholders, the promotion of medical education is done in collaboration with the Field Medical Director to provide a unique medical face to the customer groups. Your responsibilities:
You will be accountable for the following, among other things: - Identifying profiles and mapping key external stakeholders Personalized medical engagement and patient-centric scientific communication - Personalized stakeholder engagement and tailored communication with the medical community based on stakeholder needs, leveraging the full spectrum of OCE: scientific exchange, medical education, clinical trial support and NVS projects - Peer-to-peer communication and oral presentations to a medical audience - Improving healthcare professionals' understanding of our scientific pillars, improving disease awareness and creating an understanding of how to achieve the best treatment outcomes for patients (evidence-based). This includes differentiating new products from existing treatment options. - Identify insights, opportunities and feedback loops with medical experts: collect, share and implement insights to identify data gaps/evidence generation opportunities - Development of & Together with the Medical Content Lead, the MSL creates content for the client as needed according to strategic medical requirements - Scouting & co-development of scientific projects - Building partnerships and personalized stakeholder engagement plans, fostering regional partnerships and building scientific collaboration networks - Lead/support high-level scientific events/programs for medical experts, the medical community and to raise awareness of the disease among payers, regulators, policy makers and patient organizations. - Collaborate in cross-functional teams to develop new / customized solutions. - Organize key touchpoints for customers who prefer "non-promotional" collaboration with industry Diversity & Inclusion / EEO We are committed to building an excellent, inclusive work environment and a diverse team that represents the patients and communities we serve.
Role Requirements:
What you bring to the table:
- Medical Affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a client facing role
- Proven experience in building networks with external stakeholders
- High level of ownership, proactivity, communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in supporting opinion leaders in the form of events and project collaborations
- Indication experience and established relationships with key national medical experts (desirable)
- Sound knowledge and confident use of IT-based presentation and data processing software, confident use of IT communication tools
- Willingness to travel
- Well-versed in written and spoken German and English
