The Opportunity:
Currently, Avantor is seeking a capable Research Technician with experience in Histology to join the team in Mölndal, Gothenburg.
In addition to providing proactive support to scientific teams, this research technician makes sure that duties like sectioning, staining, registration, documenting, and archiving are completed to the highest possible standards.
You spend 70–80% of your time in the lab, while the remaining 30–40% is spent on administration and documentation.

The team:
The department Lab & Production Services, which assists top pharmaceutical firms and laboratories worldwide in research and development within the life sciences industry, includes this Research Technician Histology in a team of ten associates.
What we’re looking for?
Education:
A degree in a scientific field, such as Molecular Biology or BMA (Biomedical Assistant), is essential.
Experience:
While it's not necessary, having a rudimentary understanding of sectioning or histology is preferred as you can receive internal training.
Laboratory experience is advantageous.
Preferred qualifications:
strong Microsoft Office capabilities.
Good English communication skills; knowledge of Swedish is advantageous. tolerant, meticulous, and capable of intense attention and concentration at work. eager to acquire knowledge.
You must be somewhat flexible because you will be working with several partners. extremely well-structured, administratively proficient, and well-organized.
How you are going to prosper and make a difference. staining and sectioning tissues and cells.
Archive samples and scan slides.
Organise the sample shipment and registration. Help with reagent and supply preparation and inventory.
Encourage the lab's upkeep and maintain it to a high quality to ensure a secure working environment.
Assist and cooperate with technicians and lab managers in their daily tasks.
To find chances for improvement and to highlight problems in the lab, communicate with the scientists.
Encourage external supplier visits, training sessions, and product and equipment demonstrations.
