Responsibilities:

Course Delivery:

Plan and deliver lectures, laboratory sessions, and practical instruction in MLT courses.

Develop, update, and organize course materials, syllabi, and teaching resources.

Utilize various teaching methods and technologies to engage students and enhance their understanding of MLT concepts and practices.

Student Assessment:

Create and administer assessments, laboratory evaluations, and examinations to evaluate student knowledge and technical skills.

Provide constructive feedback to students and offer additional support when necessary.

Curriculum Development:

Contribute to the development and improvement of the MLT curriculum, ensuring alignment with industry standards and technological advancements.

Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in medical laboratory science.

Laboratory Supervision:

Oversee and guide students in laboratory exercises and practical training, emphasizing safety and adherence to protocols.

Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies to ensure their proper functionality.

Academic Advising:

Mentor and advise students on academic and career-related matters within the field of MLT.

Assist students in selecting appropriate courses and clinical placements.

Clinical Affiliation Coordination:

Facilitate and maintain partnerships with clinical affiliates and laboratories for students' clinical placements and rotations.

Ensure students meet clinical requirements and competencies.

Professional Development:

Pursue continuous professional development to stay current with developments in medical laboratory technology.

Attend conferences, workshops, and seminars to enhance teaching and laboratory skills.

Research and Scholarship (if applicable):

Engage in research and scholarly activities in the field of medical laboratory science.

Encourage and guide students in research projects and presentations.

Compliance and Accreditation:

Ensure that the MLT program adheres to accreditation standards and requirements.

Assist in the preparation of accreditation reports and assessments.

Qualifications:

Master's degree or higher in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field. A Ph.D. is preferred but not always required.

Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).

Teaching experience in MLT or a related healthcare field.

Proficiency in MLT principles, laboratory techniques, and current industry standards.

Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to academic excellence and student success.

Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented academic environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Rs30,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Islamabad: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
