Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiological examinations, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and ultrasounds, as per the physician's request.
  • Ensure patient safety by accurately positioning them and utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures.
  • Maintain and calibrate radiology equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues to Manager Radiology.
  • Process, develop, and review radiological images to ensure quality and diagnostic value.
  • Prepare and maintain patient records, ensuring accurate documentation of procedures, patient information, and radiation exposure data.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to discuss patient conditions, imaging requirements, and clinical findings.
  • Educate patients about the imaging process, providing reassurance and answering their questions to alleviate anxiety.
  • Adhere to medical ethics, patient confidentiality, and all relevant regulatory and safety standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with advancements in radiology technology and patient care.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized radiology department, ensuring supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including trauma cases, by providing immediate radiological support.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in departmental meetings and activities as required.
  • Any other tasks assigned by HOD / Manager.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Proficient in operating X-ray, MRI, CT, and other radiology equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of radiology safety protocols and patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate patient records.
  • Team player with a commitment to providing patient-centered care.
  • Knowledge of medical ethics and confidentiality regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
