Regarding the position
In order to lead our foray into the DACH area, Upright is looking for a successful, proactive Head of Sales. This is your opportunity to actively support our worldwide development plan if you have a track record of generating high-growth B2B SaaS sales and are keen to start from scratch in a new area. This position provides a special combination of impact-driven work, entrepreneurial independence, and the chance to direct and define Upright's presence in one of the most important marketplaces in Europe.
The Upright Project has created a scalable, industry-leading method for double materiality evaluations, which are required by the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) for over 50,000 European firms.
In order to increase sales and broaden Upright's presence in the DACH area, we are now seeking a proactive, German-speaking Head of Sales. More than 300 companies and institutional investment firms, mostly in North America and Europe, trust Upright's data platform. This isn't your typical sales position. This is your chance to create a market from the ground up. Beginning as an individual contributor (IC), you will create and implement the go-to-market plan, gain the confidence of top companies, and position Upright as a major force in the area. If you succeed, you'll have the opportunity to grow a team, broaden our audience, and make a significant contribution to the direction of sustainability-driven company.
YOUR GOAL:
. Enter the market first: Oversee and carry out our DACH area go-to-market strategy, from prospect identification to high-impact transaction closure.
. Encourage the sales cycle: Oversee the whole process, from the initial introduction to contract negotiations, to guarantee a flawless client experience.
. Be the face of Upright by serving as a reliable resource for prospective clients, conveying the importance of Upright's financial materiality statistics and effect, and giving engaging product demonstrations.
. Develop the plan: To improve outreach and message for the DACH audience, work together with the marketing and SDR teams.
. Establish the groundwork for expansion: If you succeed, you'll be able to influence the group and plan to increase our influence in the area.

. a successful sales leader with a history of exceeding targets in intricate B2B or SaaS transactions.

. An urgent hunter: You are skilled at effectively managing a pipeline, setting priorities, and closing agreements.
. Speaking German and English fluently: You're a born communicator who can establish rapport and enthusiasm in both languages.
We'll also take into account the following as a plus:
. knowledge of sustainability reporting procedures and the EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
