Remote Opportunity/Onsite: This position is located in Santa Fe, NM but has the option to be remote for experienced Directors.
Job Responsibilities: Review, analyze, and report patient results in a trustworthy, truthful, and ethical manner. Send out reports related to Cytogenetics every day. Provide healthcare professionals and clients advice on how to use and interpret tests. Monitor compliance with established technical protocols and guidelines and offer support in resolving technical issues. Check the accuracy and interpretation of the data in each allocated patient file. Examine lab data, write a report, evaluate it, and sign it. Interact with clients, sales and marketing professionals, and referring physicians. Follow top leadership's instructions to create and administer new tests. In order to effectively manage specimens through the laboratory while adhering to established SOPs and management procedures for the designated department, collaborate with the supervisory team. Work together with the directors of operations, laboratories, sales, and medical to facilitate interdepartmental workflow. As needed, give QA, QI, and QC oversight. Examine and approve the assigned department's training and competency records. The position requires either an M.D. or Ph.D. in a biological, chemical, or physical science OR active candidate status (board eligible) OR board certification in either Cytogenetics or LGG (Laboratory Genetics and Genomics) from the ABMGG. Must be eligible and in good standing with all relevant state and federal licenses. If working remotely, a minimum of three years' experience is needed. If it's on-site in Santa Fe, New Mexico, no prior experience is needed.
