Founded in 1857, the San Joaquin comprehensive Hospital (SJGH) is a comprehensive acute care facility that offers a wide range of inpatient services, such as newborn critical care, high-risk obstetrics, including standard medical/surgical treatment. The medical complex has several facilities devoted to full-service outpatient care, such as Primary Care and Speciality Clinics, along with to the 196-bed hospital. Every year, the hospital's ambulatory care facilities—which include locations in French Camp and Stockton—service more than 1,340,000 outpatient clinic visits.
The hospital offers post-graduate fellowships that cover general surgery, internal medicine, and family practice in addition to direct medical services. Since the residency programs' founding in 1932, the medical centre has trained more than 3,000 physicians. For educational opportunities in a range of health professions, such as licensed and authorised occupational nurses, pharmacy technicians, radiology technologies, social workers, and respiratory therapists, the hospital also takes part in clinical affiliation agreements.
Requirement:
In order to create an eligible list for future openings, San Joaquin County is seeking to fill positions for clinical specialist, senior, and physical therapy positions at SJGH-Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Experience:
Candidates must have worked as a physical therapy assistant in San Joaquin County for at least a year in order to be considered for the position of Physical Therapist-Senior. A certified physical therapist with two years of increasingly responsible experience using both therapeutic and diagnostic physical therapy procedures for a range of incapacitating diseases.
Candidates must have at least three years of increasingly responsible employment as a practicing physical therapist using therapeutic and diagnostic physical therapy procedures for a range of incapacitating conditions in order to be considered for the Physical Therapist-Clinical Specialist position.

Typical Duties:
Conducts the most intricate physical therapy evaluations, interprets the results, prepares, executes, and coordinates all forms of physical therapy treatment programs for patients, sets suitable treatment objectives, and makes appropriate use of equipment.
Helps professionals get orientated to their departments and acts as an assistance for other therapists.
Serves as the primary counsellor and/or supervisor for physical therapy practitioners and other skilled and paraprofessional staff, confers with supervisory personnel, and may contribute to workforce and intern performance reviews.
Conducts education activities in the community and/or participates in in-service training for a range of hospital and departmental staff.
Attends patient conferences and staff meetings.
Physical/Mental Requirement:
Mobility includes using a data entry device, standing for extended periods of time, sitting occasionally, walking constantly, pushing or pulling occasionally, and bending or crouching frequently.

San Joaquin County provides employees with a choice of three health plans a Kaiser Plan, a Select Plan, and a Premier Plan. Employees pay a portion of the cost of the premium. Dependent coverage is also available.

The County provides employees with a choice of two dental plans: Delta Dental and United Health Care-Select Managed Care Direct Compensation Plan. There is no cost for employee only coverage in either plan; dependent coverage is available at the employee’s expense.
