We are now looking for you who want to be involved in developing the use of medicines in Sweden's largest intensive care organization! 
Among the three different medical centres that make up the Perioperative recovery Medication and Critical Department (PMI) at Karolinska University Hospital is known as the Medicinal Division Critical Care and Chest Surgery. 
The unit is Sweden's largest intensive care organization and contains three intensive care units in Solna and Huddinge (IVA-Solna (CIVA, NIVA), THIVA and IVA Huddinge). 
We treat a very wide range of patients from Stockholm and the rest of Sweden with traumatic injuries, neurological diseases, severe heart or liver failure or other life-threatening conditions. 
Children are also treated at IVA Huddinge. 
About the position: 
We offer you an exciting assignment where you are responsible for working with pharmaceutical issues with the goal of ensuring that the intensive care unit's drug use is safe and cost-effective, from prescription to administration.
 Your employment will be at the medical unit level where you have a shared overall responsibility for all intensive care units' drug use. T
he position involves working both in Huddinge and Solna. 
You will work closely with a pharmacist colleague with a similar role and, in consultation with the Head of Department, a division of working time between the two sites may be agreed. 
You will also collaborate with the nurses and doctors in charge of medicines for each intensive care unit.
 The clinical pharmacist is subordinate to the head of operations but works mainly on behalf of the heads of nursing, heads of care units and heads of sections. 
Examples of responsibilities: 
Proactive work on inventory, procurement of substitutes and management of drug licenses Training of staff, new recruits and students on pharmaceutical issues Optimization of the departments' prescription templates for medicines in CCC and to some extent Take Care Participate in the investigation and event analysis of medication deviations and propose actions Participate in the configuration of the future medical record and prescription system for intensive care Participate in care team discussions on complex drug treatments and possible interactions Preparation of medication as time and need permits

Qualifications:
 Requirements: 
Licensed pharmacist with advanced training in health care pharmacy, master's degree in clinical pharmacy or experience in clinical pharmacy or equivalent.
 Desirable: 
Experience in pharmaceutical work in healthcare and patient safety work.
