Job Description

  • As a team leader, manage and supervise the medical, administrative and logistics activities in close coordination with the Pharmacist officer, Medical Team Supervisor, and Program officer.
  • Liaise with Government medical officers for medical activities at the BHU.
  • Conduct medical consultation according to WHO/organization standards.
  • Ensure MNCH and IMNCI guidelines are followed in care and treatment.
  • Ensure all protocols and guidelines are followed by team members, including the administrative procedures.
  • To ensure quality control of medical activities; take corrections when needed, and propose preventive actions, if necessary.
  • Provide suggestions to improve the functioning of organization clinics from a medical point as well as from an HR, Logistics, and operational sides.
  • Prepare and update on a regular basis the medical orders including reporting formats, registers, and stationery for clinic in collaboration with the Medical Supervisor, the Base Pharmacist and the Base Manager.
  • Manage and organize the medical/paramedical team and its activities according to the instructions. 
  • Responsible for the provision of emergency medical services and organizing patient referrals according to the guidelines in an ambulance.
  • Ensure follow-up of the referral cases to register the outcome of the referral.
  • Responsible for maintaining hospital hygiene and infection control measures
  • Ensure disinfection and sterilization procedure (by autoclaving) is performed according to the need and perform quality assurance
  • In collaboration with the Medical Supervisor, perform the weekly planning of the activities.
  • Verify the authenticity of medical data and compile the weekly reports.
  • Participate in coaching the team members on improving the quality of services and assist in identifying the training needs of the team.
  • Organize regular meetings/briefings with all the medical/paramedical staff in coordination with Medical Supervisor.
