In the databases and systems of the company, the master data management specialist will be in charge of overseeing and preserving the master data's integrity. In order to guarantee accurate and consistent data entry, conduct data analysis to spot patterns and inconsistencies, and carry out efforts to improve data quality, he or she will work in tandem with many departments.
Responsibilities:
•Create, maintain, and update master data records in compliance with defined policies and processes. • In the ERP system, create and manage item masters, including coding and classification. • Enter and keep up with prices in the ERP system. • Establishing and keeping up with customer and vendor records. • Perform routine audits on master data to find and fix mistakes, duplications, and inconsistencies. • To increase data accuracy and completeness, develop and execute best practices, procedures, and standards for data quality. • Take part in data integration and migration initiatives to guarantee accurate data transfers and a seamless transition. • Remain up to date on best practices, laws, and industry trends pertaining to master data management.
•Check database reports to see which items need to be retired or updated.
• Understanding of item-level MRP input maintenance and supply chain fundamentals.
• Support for the sales, operations, and procurement teams to ensure that the components of an ERP system function as intended.
Conditions
• a bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, or a related field.
• Five years or more of experience in master data management or related roles.
• Prior experience with programs to improve data quality and process optimization.
• Proficiency with data management tools and systems, including Oracle, SAP, and Sage.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and make sense of complex data sets.
• Exceptional accuracy and meticulousness in data entry and analysis.
